The Artist's Words:

"Painting in watercolors is my key to the secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass. Seeing my mother paint started it.

From an early age, seeing the process of transforming what was in the front of the eye onto paper always peeked my curiosity and struck me as magical. And, over the years, that magical process has got imbibed in me deeply, and transforming from hobby to art.

Painting helps me connect with my inner self, uplifting in spirit, it’s serious play, it’s enlightening and invigorating and the unpredictable flow of water deeply connects with my personality. When my work is going well, I feel I am like a child in the candy store who can have it all! I paint from the inside out. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative watercolor techniques, my inner emotional self is the undisputed guide as a project manager and when I am deciding on my next project.

My signature painting style is to paint loose, with lots of colors that please and appease but all my images are meant to attract the viewer by virtue of their simplicity. When I work with watercolors, I am reminded of spontaneity that is life, color that has the capacity to transform and take on any mood you want and how beautiful our universe truly is.
