Yan-Nick Michaud Sunday 12:30-1:30pm
As a recent graduate of the Music and Digital Media program in Kingston, Yan-Nick Michaud now has his sights on his much-anticipated debut album released “Chasing Trees”. Much like his live performance, the album of almost two full years in the making, is where the dedication to his craft truly shines. His unique grit-folk sound is rhythmically driven by various shakers and the barefoot thumping of his old, rickety, wooden Cajon upon which he sits. Woven within the plucking’s of melodic string arrangements, Yan-Nick’s carefully crafted lyrics leave the listener with a sense that there’s something powerfully different happening here. With four limbs going at once, creating Yan-Nick’s unique sounds, his new album and live performance are definitely not ones to be missed this year.
