Artfest Toronto is at Home in the Distillery District

Founded in 1832, Toronto's Distillery District is the former Gooderham and Worts liquour distillery factory. Stone buildings from the mid-19th century centered around an historic windmill have been carefully restored and now opeate like a small village where you can find beer, chocolate, theatre and art. No chain stores or franchise operations here! The commercial area is populated with boutique stores, art galleries and restaurants. Mixed in are artist studios and crafted condominiums around the site means constant foot traffic through the area.  Open year round, the Distillery Historic District has the feeling of an old European city. It has been described as a 'wonderland or fantasyland'.

Home to many of Toronto’s hottest designer boutiques, unique cafes, artisan shops, breathtaking art galleries, performance venues and award-winning restaurants, The Distillery District is the place to see and be seen.
