Fine Art Photography!
Reenie Marx Photo Art arises out of a deep reverence for nature.
"My love affair with photography began at age 17 when my father gave me his old Leica camera. I immediately started a course of self study using books, visits to the Art Institute of Chicago where I studied the work of Steichen, Adams and many other artists, and experiments in my own dark room under the guidance of a group of professional photographers whose studio was near my apartment.
When I immigrated to Canada in 1973 my passion for photography took a back seat to a fulfilling career in education and only resurfaced powerfully in 2005 when I retired. Within a year I had taught myself the basics of digital photography and began exhibiting and selling my work professionally in Quebec, Ontario, and the United States. Since then I have had two solo exhibitions in Quebec and participated in several group shows in Ontario. I am currently part of Arbor Gallery, Centre for Contemporary Art in Vankleek Hill, Ontario."
