Mary Kay's Words:

I have always had an interest in creating unique designs, from paint texturing walls to window treatments. With my interest in jewelry, six years ago, I decided to create my own jewelry. I started with silver, copper and brass. I hammer, stress and shape each piece into its own one of a kind design. I then went to Arizona on a vacation and found natural stones that I incorporate into these designs. I have also travelled to Mexico and Nevada for more gem stones. When my daughter got married, I designed and created the jewelry for her wedding party and since then, I have designed many other wedding parties.

I have taken several courses for manipulating silver, creating bracelets, and earrings. I am always looking to upgrade and hone my skills. I took a glass making course and have incorporated that into some unique designs. I have recently expanded into creating unique rings. Some of my pieces are antiqued to give my inventory a greater selection. As you can see I do not limit myself to one medium of jewelry. I love to dabble in all aspects of this craft and it shows in the variety that you have to choose from.

I have recently taken classes in Art Clay, which when finished, produces a piece that is 99.9% pure metal, whether it is silver, bronze, or copper.
