Portrait of an Artisan~Amandine in the Garden

Between salvaging accumulation and conservation, Amandine Rufin's paintings and art pieces are comprised of fabrics, plants, writings which have been dyed, layered and worn and torn.  Her collages reveal the works of time, they emphasize memories and objects to keep connections with the past alive.

Amandine is a French visual artist living in Toronto and after a Fine Art  and Textile Degree in Paris, and several years of travels, Amandine begins filling notebooks with alteration, traces, and prints. She collects anything that will tell a story and incorporates it into her creations to preserve the moment and explore traces of use and time.
