Lory MacDonald is show producer of the Artfest Ontario family of Art & Craft Shows. And is also an artist. Her current paintings are inspired by trees, and she describes them as derivative abstracts. The concepts begin as drawings of imaginative trees set in magical landscapes. She then creates layers & layers of paint using thin glazes and texturing. The line work is created using a resist. The overall effect looks a bit like batiking and is often described as energetic, uplifting, happy, colourful, ceramic-like, stained glass-like, and dazzling!

Lory is looking forward to showing her paintings at the Distillery District. "What a great experience it has been working with the Distillery District management. Such a beautiful location for an Art show especially in the summer near the water. "
