Celtic & Medieval Stonework Sculpture ~ Distillery District, May 20 - 22, 2017

Clover.jpg

Duncan MacDonald tells this history in his own distinctive voice. He carves his original work after researching the history relevant to the piece. The background story of each piece is included with his work, thereby passing on this link with history. The Clan Badge series are his most collected works, as families appreciate the stories and imagery behind their ancestral names. The original sculpture is then cast in cement fondue - finished in a complex patina formula,  a traditional process originating in 18th century France.
